On behalf of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the Studentenwerk Karlsruhe serves around 38,000 students at 9 universities in Karlsruhe and Pforzheim, covering all aspects of student life.

Organized as a public body, we are in charge of BAföG issues, we build, maintain and administer halls of residence for students, run cafeterias and dining facilities, allocate loans and provide spaces in day-care facilities for children. Our services are intended for students only and are financed by social contributions, state allowances and other income.

The Studentenwerk's numerous canteens and cafeterias are well-known among students. You will find our facilities provide food and beverages in every university in Karlsruhe and Pforzheim and in some of the larger faculties. From Monday to Friday we serve up to 11,000 meals a day.
