City of Pforzheim

Pforzheim has a population of approximately 110,000 and about 5,000 students study at Pforzheim University.
Especially at the beginning of the semester, the housing situation can be a bit tight. The size of the town and the great number of students may make it difficult to find suitable accommodation at the desired date near the university.
As there are only a few rooms available at the beginning of the semester you should think about already renting a room one or two months before the semester starts (best chances: July/August and February). In Pforzheim, students can use their student ID as a so-called “Studi-Ticket” allowing them to usethe public buses at no charge.
